Tips for Successful Networking

Very complicated to explain the development of the current era, in which we all desperately need the connections and find new customers, to business continuity that is being or will we manage. we see that in recent years, more businessmen and entrepreneurs have looked to the neighbors and the community to channel new sources of revenue and help advance their brand further.

The question now, So how do you get involved? While that's all well and good attending business expos and networking sessions, how do you get the best of every opportunity? Here I'll share tips to help make you much needed by anyone.

  • Attention! Regardless of whom you speak or how much interest do you think they will have for your product or service, make sure you give every conversation focus 100%. It's important to let people know that they have your full attention - it does not make good business sense, it's a good attitude.
  • Be prepared. Have some examples of what you can do - be it a brochure, catalog or iPad with some images and upload video product. Make sure you give everyone you meet is something to take that includes your contact details.
  • Time. Find out who will be on show in advance and book an appointment if there is someone specific that you want to see - make the most of your time to get face to face with the right people.
  • Easy to remember. Do not leave the network in a bad mood - will be cheerful, bright and friendly to make sure people remember you for all the right reasons.
  • Present yourself. Polish your shoes, your mustache wax, do not wear a green jumper with a hole in the arm and curry last night on the front. You represent the way you do business, so it looks the part.
  • Listen. Remember what people say. Everyone likes a good listener and there is nothing more embarrassing than forgetting someone's name because you are not paying attention.
  • Commit. Do what you say you will. Follow up with your brochure and promised to call when you tell them you will: create a 'reliability' your middle name.
  • Refer to the point. Just introducing others if you truly believe contact will benefit them both.
  • Be professional. Do not swear and do not drink if it will not make you sharp. Sense of humor will help you go a long way, but be careful not to offend. Dirty jokes, feminist or racist no-no - no matter how comfortable you are, others can not share the same taste in comedy.
  • Be original. Do not try to pull the wool over anyone's eyes about what you do, your company's size or the fact that you drive a Fiat, not a Ferrari. People like honesty, they believe. They certainly will not invest time, effort and money into someone who told lies to get ahead.
